The kodiak - atleast my kodiak, has only one draft tube. I had extra down put in mine. Mine is also goretex so -5 is the rating. I have actually been toasty warm in it at -5 in a howling storm, but I had my down coat over me too. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> And as you said - the Kodiak is large, if you're not a line backer it may be too big for you to keep it warm. I have two elastic bands in mine that hold it against me at the knees and one at the hips, yet I can really stretch out in it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> I only weigh 160 soaking wet. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
A down airmattress makes a big difference, you don't get cold from below. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
So my (700 down) super Kodiak with extra stuffing weighs 56 oz, what is a new one rated at.
