Maybe I should get trekking poles to use against mountain bikers. What are the rules. I know that you should yeild to horses and pack animals. I do quick hikes in a natural area with several multi use trails. Some for horses and hikers. Some for everything and 2 marked for hiking only, but, the bikers just ride everywhere they want to go, even though the trail is clearly marked with a warning that a citation can be issued for bikes on the hiking trail. Think I'll complain to someone before I build a trap or pit with pungee sticks.
