BZH member Registered: 01/26/11 Posts: 1189 Loc: Madison, AL	The top fabric is not sewn to the bottom fabric. That creates a seam with no insulation. Fabric is sewn internally to maintain a constant thickness across quilt. I'm not sure how important it is in a warmer weather quilt.
