This reply may be too late, but I've been very happy with my River Country Products "Trekker Tent 1V". It weighs 2.62 pounds with stakes but no poles. It is designed to be used with trekking poles, but I use dead sticks found at each campsite. It was only $40 from Amazon! I followed the instructions for seam sealing and spraying with silicone waterproofing, which cost me another $15 and an hour or two of effort. I was frustrated by my inability to set it up with everything stretched out tight and flat, but despite the wrinkles it stayed dry inside through 24 hours of almost continuous rain (including 8 hours with me sleeping inside). It is sold as a one person tent, but it is similar size to many two person tents. The construction quality looks good to me, and it is made in USA.
