Saw it last night. We laughed out loud. It's not the book, but had some good snippets from the book. The book isn't about backpacking or the AT, really. Sad they didn't have the part about Katz ditching all the food at the beginning. Mary Ellen was perfect.
Those trekking poles in their packs came and went, but never touched earth. Some scenes had them, some didn't.
Their packs were always floppy....not sure where those tents were stored. No one else in my crew noticed any of those issues and just laughed. I'll probably read the book again after my wife finishes it. I'd say go see it!
