Bill67 newbie Registered: 02/13/15 Posts: 9 Loc: Arizona, USA	One of the best books on navigation is "Be Expert with Map and Compass" by Bjorn Kjellstrom. It has a map and baseplate protractor to work with and has a workbook that you work through. It does teach the basics of topographical maps and a baseplate compass. I enjoy the book and try to work through it every 5 years or so as a refresher.
