I had a SMD Skyscape Trekker for a few years as my primary 3 season tent. I used it for anything from overnights to 8 day trips. The Trekker is the Sil-nylon version of the Scout. It was a great tent that handled everything except snow. IMHO the Scout is an outstanding value for a 1 person tent. Weight is about 2 pounds and a quarter, sets up with 5 stakes, lots of room for one, stable in the wind, packs pretty small. The only reason I replaced the Trekker was to upgrade to the Skyscape X.
