I'll be taking my grandson hiking and camping with me this Autumn, he just turned 6 and he's pretty excited about it (so am I ) I'll mention that there's nothing wrong with an external frame pack. In a lot of cases they are lighter than the internal frame or frameless packs you'll find now. _________________________ -- "You want to go where?"
