You could probably re-rig one of the headbands from the old-school headlamps - you know the old petzl's that had incandescent bulbs and too the square batteries - just re-rig the battery pocket to hold the gps. then put a light led headlamp on the front and you're set.

You *must* have one of those old petzl's lying around - I know I do..
