Sorta, kinda.

After a season of nordic skiing with exaggerated weight shifting I tend to stomp rather than placing my foot lightly.

When I shift back to skiing I have to train myself to keep my knees bent.

Muscle memory is not automatic for me.

Synchronized breathing and pace makes your hike much better.

On rolling trails I start heavy breathing before I reach uphills so the I never suffer an oxygen deficit.
