midnightsun03 member Registered: 08/06/03 Posts: 2936 Loc: Alaska	Advantage for step-in bindings on crampons: easier to attach to boots. Disadvantage: can pop off easily if they don't mate well with boots. Advantage for strap bindings: More secure attachment. Disadvantage: straps can freeze and are difficult to adjust with gloves and when wet. MNS _________________________ YMMV. Viewer discretion is advised.
