I can imagine you hear it alot. I'm not much of a newbie to backpacking itself, just this site. I spent the summer after high school up there in Denali then down on the Kenai. It is like the itch I can't scratch. I feel as though I need to get up there again. I spend most of my days off traveling to different points in the midwest and weekending spots. This trip is more of a preview/info gathering trip for a move in spring of '10. Thanks for the tip on the search. I do enjoy my VE24, but it does get warm and muggy on a sunny day. I do have all of the other equiptment including a great tent, just looking for insight on a lighter tent.
I have been leaning towards the MSR Fling. Anyone use one?
