I can say this...as a mom to a child under the Autistic Rainbow one of the reasons he does SO well out there is frankly due to it. He has endless energy and when focused on a task will do it as good as he can - hence he has hiked like an adult since he was 4. Very few kids I encounter can do what he does - the single task focusing is not in other kids.
