Anyone used spacer mesh for lining pack straps, hip belt, lumbar pad, back panel, etc.?
It seems to have some stretch in one direction, not much in the other, with a smooth feel in the non-stretchy direction, and more friction in the stretchy direction. I would think you'd want the higher friction direction vertical for a hipbelt or lumbar pad, and the smoother direction vertical for pack straps and back panel. I guess.

I've experimented laminating small pieces of it to closed-cell foam using three different adhesives, and all seem to work well and are flexible and water-resistant (3M Super77, Elmer's All-Purpose Spray Adhesive, and Carl Havens Spray Fabric Adhesive).

I'm curious what others may have done, and whether the spacer mesh provides any significant improvement in comfort or ventilation.
