We need either one backpacker/porter (carry 30lbs plus your gear) or two (carry 20-25 lbs each plus your gear). We will pay you for the three days, Labor Day weekend. We are around 60 years old and just can't carry our backpacking stuff plus climbing gear any longer.

We would meet Friday evening, camp, then go in Saturday morning and come out Monday afternoon. Its about 9 miles in and about 2,000 foot gain. This is the Mokelumne wilderness leaving from near Bear Reservoir on highway 88 in California. After you drop our stuff on Saturday and do a water run from a spring about a mile away on Saturday, the rest of Sunday and Monday morning is yours until we need our climbing gear packed out. For example, you can hike up Mokelumne peak which is a pretty cool peak that is definitely under the radar for many - meaning not many people back there.

You are welcome to camp with us, meaning we'll have a stove, fuel and we can share food. If you leave and come back, you'll need that stuff. Its kind of high and will likely be cold so you'll need a decent sleeping bag and you'll probably need a tent.

In doing some research it seems some people get offended at this (paying for porters). However there doesn't appear to be a pack station nearby plus half the trek is off-trail so mules can't reach our camp anyway. If you are young and can carry 55 lbs and wouldn't mind getting paid for it, we'd sure appreciate it.
