I have a one person Lynx tent which I really like. The one thing I can't figure out is the vestibule. When I stake out the rainfly, the zipper entrance only allows me to slip through sideways without accidentally unstaking it. If I am trying to crawl inside with gear forget it. Am I doing something wrong?

Did you follow the instructions it came with? It could be just the design of the tent . Take a ton of pictures or short video for us to see how you're doing it.

Not sure what I did with the instructions, but I think I figured out my problem. I looked at photos online and I think I need to only stake out one side of the vestibule and just let the other side be my entrance. Zip it up when done.

That'll work! I have an old two person tent that I used to take car camping and it has two loops by the zipper that could be staked, according to the instructions you only had to stake one of them. Reason for both loop was so the user could pick whether he/she wanted a left or right entrance. I Googled your tent, and I believe this is the same situation. (I couldn't tell that clearly, but it a reasonable guess on my part.) With the other half that not staked will still hold a taut pitch when zipped securely to the other half.
