Just a shout out to finally say hello.

I've been a member (lurker) here since 2005. I've managed to rack up 3 whole posts since then. confused I love to read, and have learned a lot from the accumulated knowledge available here.

I bring a varied background attempting to cross barriers between several hobbies that you don't always associate with one another. I'm a school psychologist at the middle school level by day; member and president (3 years running) of our local California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs affiliate; serve as the Camping, Cooking, and Backpacking Merit Badge Counselor for our local Boy Scout Troop; and a self-professed backpacking and hammock camping junkie.

I live and advocate for the Tread Lightly philosophy, and strongly believe respected access is open access. I try to pass on those values to those 4WD club members and Scouts I have the opportunity interact with.
