As a consummate almond eater I buy them in the cans. I've found over the years that the inner foil seal is quite durable aluminum. Hence, I've taken to carrying one or two in my camp kitchen for stove base, and cup lids. It's formable so you can make a geniune lid, not just one that lies onto the cup, which keeps wind from blowing it off while your tea is steeping.
