For years I used just 2 stainless steel bike spokes from an old taco'ed mountain bike wheel as my 'grill'. 12" long each I don't know the weight but they handle all the pots I've used as a backpacker. Just place them on some rocks on both ends of your cookfire, and there's your grill. Cheap even bought new at a bike shop probably less than $3 a pair <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

geeze, you have a whole good wheel. make a full blown grill..just remember to take the tire off first and any plastic center hub parts. be a metal scuplture in front of your kids and rectycle that bike into a charchoal grill.

yeah chaz i wondered why my bike thumped along after i made the grill from the spokes. store the spokes inside a short lenght of aluminum arrow shaft for blowing on them coals..
