Posting a few pix (in a slideshow) of a short hike last week on the Rattlesnake Gulch trail, Eldorado Canyon State Park near Boulder.

It was a nice hike up to a ridge behind the famous Flatirons that ended on the tracks of the Denver/Rio Grande RR, the route of the (hopefully) temporarily defunct ski train from Denver to Winter Park. It was probably the last hike of the season in the foothills, with more serious hikes in the Front Range later this summer. Best part of the hike was having my hiking companion back on the trail with me. My wife's finally overcome her thyroid problems she's had to deal with for 18 months, besides her serious bout with pneumonia after joining me in Denver (from Miami) in January. This was her first hike in a year and she did well and loved it. This little jewel of a park really impressed us. This isn't really a trip report, but the scenery's nice; the 16 or so pix are in a slideshow

HERE.
