I've owned it - in titanium and stainless steel. Go to the MSR website, under Cookware, and choose the fast and light tab - it will be on the right with the other products.
It's one of those gadgets that's actually practical - I used it a couple times to work on my Whisperlite, and didn't need to carry the little wrench that came with the stove.
WOW! Blast from the past man! I actually had that exact same one--the steel one. It was pretty heavy, but functional when I carried stoves that had bolts and things that such a tool could be useful for. Now, I mostly carry alcohol stoves so the clever tools MSR has incorporated into the design are pretty much useless.

It looks like a Mosin Nagant. It uses a 7.62 X 54 I think. It is very heavy for that purpose, but if you really are good with it, it can be very accurate. My brother had one, and it was fun to shoot at the range, but I wouldn't want to carry one, especially with much lighter versions around.

I'm certain that trip didn't qualify as lightweight, but the MSR spoon look great for winter use with a white gas stove... that reminds me that my spork has gone missing

That's no Moisin Nagant - It's a carbine length Mauser - probabaly a Swede or one of the many 98k variants - can't tell for sure from the picture. perfectly good gun for that purpose.
Phat, I will take your word over my guess on it being a mauser. But, I think I would prefer a lighter rifle with a synthetic stock instead of a big heavy wood stock. Either a Mauser or a Mosin is definitely adequate for the job. Mauser actions are known for their reliability, so I would keep the action and put it in a synthetic stock. But, that is just me. I am sure everyone else has a completely different opinion.

Wow! This should definatly be in the real multi-function thread. I have seen this before and it was discussed somewhere here I think. The subject was aboutthe MSR stove???????????
Did anybody take a look at that monster facemask !?! I did a google search for "Untraced facemask" but I didn't come up with much. Anyone here know where I can find one. I was skiing in -30 to -40 windchill last month and could have really used one!
