Hector, maybe I'm naive, but why don't you like to do this? I actually just got a new (for me) bike last year and have started to plan out activities for this spring/summer/fall. Some of those do include riding to some favorite spots, leaving the bike at the trailhead, and backpacking for a weekend. I'm just wondering if you have any thoughts on what I should be concerned about. Since this is somewhat off the track of this particular thread, feel free to PM me if that would be preferred.
