Reminds me of a long ago weekend hike at Cumberland Island GA. Plan was to leave from the boat dock at one end of the island and camp at the extreme opposite end, maybe 15 miles away. Summer, it was 90'. One of the party, used to car camping, had brought a 12 pack in her backpack. That got heavy fast, and got warm fast. So to lighten her load we stopped, reorganized her pack & started killing the beer--seemed a shame to waste it-- about 9.30 AM. By the time
we had consumed her beer load down to a more manageable weight (warm beer, 90 degree heat, day just starting) the other end of that island started to look a LOT further away.
