Berserker member Registered: 05/10/04 Posts: 493 Loc: Lynchburg, VA	I don't want to get off topic or sound dense here, but you and the OP specifically mention the AT as if it is the "rough part of town". I live and hike in the SE, and I don't have the perception that it is any worse than anywhere else. What makes the AT worse than other areas?
