About 15 mph wind is the limit. As far as the time of year goes, the time I almost became part of the desert floor was in March. Started the ride in 70 deg. and found ourselves in 107 deg. by two o'clock. The desert can turn on you at any time. Some of the coolest, most beautiful, lightening/thunder storms I've ever seen popped right out of nowhere in the desert.
