I have tied a couple of pieces of nylon cord around me inside my sleeping bag to keep it closer and make it warmer. It seems that being closer and divided into 3 areas made it warmer than the loss of down compression directly under the cord.

Just think of my design as extra "draw cords" like at the top of the bag, only in elastic so you can stretch out in it if you have to.
