It really depends on what gear you have. If you have a walmart sleeping bag and tent and so forth you arent going to get your gear and 2 week worth of food in a 150l pack. I would work on getting your gear small first then think about the pack size. I could get all my gear and 2 weeks worth of food in a pack and my base would probably be around total weight minus water would be somewhere around 23 pounds. My guess is you probably wouldnt be any where near that number. I could get a good pack that can carry heavier loads like an Osprey Atmos. It isnt the lightest but the lighter packs arent design for carrying heavy weight. But first lets back up some. two week int he wilderness with a backpacker without any experience is begging for disaster. I would spend a year backpacking, getting experience, getting my gear in check and then do two weeks
