Recreation fees on federal public lands are governed by the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act (FLREA). The legislation will sunset at the end of 2014 unless Congress acts to renew or replace it.

A House of Representatives subcommittee held a hearing on the legislation in June and a Senate committee held a hearing in July.

The legislation impacts millions of Americans who fund public lands with both taxes and fees. The media has done little to cover the issue. Your members of Congress need to hear from you.
