Good to see you getting out and great pics from your trip. I would also suggest Mammoth Cave for good hiking trails. You can do sections of the Sheltowee Trace as well in Kentucky and look at the Big South Fork area for good trails that are loops. All of these areas have good water supplies so you can filter or treat instead of carrying large amounts of water. Don't worry about bears, just make sure you hang your food and anything with smells at night.
