aimless Moderator Registered: 02/05/03 Posts: 3293 Loc: Portland, OR	I think it depends on what you mean by "desert". The scientific definition I have heard is very precise, but unless you have the correct data it won't be very helpful: A desert is any area where the potential for evaporation is 1300% of the average precipitation.
