Jack lives over here by me. Most streams around here are spring fed and a water filter is pretty optional. If you want want from the Deschutes - filter it, but you aren't gonna find any water hiking around here on lava. You'll have to carry it unless youre up on the mountain or along the cascade lakes hiway west of here.
