Excellent point, Lori. I usually don't have a problem remembering to drink in the summer, since it's hot and humid and I get thirsty easily because I'm sweating a lot.

However, in the winter, when I don't sweat, I frequently find myself forgetting to drink. That leads to the same condition: dehydration. I find it more problematic in winter, because it affects my ability to stay warm. Sometimes, in the middle of the night, if I find I'm chilly, I'll drink some water, and it seems to help.
