Just do it. I lost 30 pounds a year ago and spent a great summer in Colorado hiking and camping. I also climbed a couple of 14,000 foot peaks which I don't think I would have attempted with the extra weight. I won't say it is easy, but it can be done. You will feel so much better when you do it.
My philosophy on dieting is that if it tastes good spit it out cause it is fattening. Just keep that in mind and keep your goal in mind and you can make it.
