Sorry I didn't see this post before!

We have two video cameras - one is a Canon HAI pro HD, the other is a Canon consumer HD. We don't use the consumer one much anymore due to it being an internal memory - the issue lies in that we can't keep swapping out tapes. Ugh!

We use Final Cut Pro now for editing on a Mac <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Now, them low brow videos I shoot for my YouTube channel? Those painful delights I just shoot on my regular digital camera.

If you want quality and good sound go for as high as you can afford, get HD and get a mic system if you are doing voices, or if shooting nature, get a wind buffer <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> A consumer model is all most would need. And they fit in your palm as well. The pro one is light for what it is....but man does it suck to pack it!

We learned the hard way I can tell you <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> Ugh!
