My students have always told me how much they enjoy my classes....but it's another thing to win an award from the faculty....

Well done, and congratulations! awesome

And, I can’t resist: did they vote before or after the tasting portion of the selection meeting?

I forwarded this to my son, who took a course on wine in his senior year at Purdue (from, ironically, a professor named Dr. Vine.) He really enjoyed it, and wine is a hobby both he and his wife enjoy (and indulge.)

Of course, I was really impressed when I paid the tuition for a quarter that included both wine tasting AND golf. It was much easier, knowing that it was the last quarter of his senior year (but I still verified that the diploma was signed.) grin

That's great, Glenn. Was it Dr. Richard Vine? I've meet him and judged wines with him....but wasn't sure if he was from Purdue...

I think it was Richard Vine. He was at Purdue when my son graduated - but time flies when you’re having fun, and I just realized that he graduated almost 20 years ago! It’s very possible he’s no longer at Purdue.

Congratulations! But I still can't figure out how this connects to backcountry hiking. Maybe some photos would help? grin
