unfortunately (for us larger gents) it doesn't give a max weight capacity. If it packs small enough and can hold my derriere, I might consider tossing that into dry storage in the kayak and taking it on paddling trips...

Rei states very quickly your chair is a hair over a pound, yet I can't find a weight for the rocker. I'm guessing a little heavy for our purpose. My chair, when I have to bring it, weighs 2 1/2 lbs and doubles as a Garcia Bear Canister. Oh yeah, that's what it is....
Just added a young, strong novice to our hiking circle, who wants us to mentor him through his first few trips. He didn't seem to question carrying our rock collections - I wonder if he's gullible enough...
