I've been looking into vegetarian trail food for my 2013 AT thru hike, and I ran across a site the other day that I haven't heard mentioned elsewhere-- outdoorherbivore.com
They seem to be exactly the sort of retailer I've been looking for--they sell lots of apparently good quality, low processed backpack meals.
Does anyone have any experience with them? I'm excited to try out their food, and wondering if I shouldn't place a bulk purchase for the discount.
------------------------------------------- For those of you who may know me, I'm no longer a BPL user, but went as Nick G. I'm currently HermesUL on Whiteblaze, and hiked the Long Trail July 6-23 as Hermes.

Just to throw out another brand: Enertia Trail Foods have no meat in them. I know some hikers who have been happy with at least some of their offerings. I make my own or repackage from #10 cans with extra veggies and proteins added.
