After a quick trip to the coast I made a video out of some of the shots I took. This was with another hiking group I belong to but rarely hike with - it's a rare weekend I'm able to connect with them.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xuhkqu_pine-valley_travel

Pine Valley is on private land, but Jack is legendary for welcoming hikers and inviting them to tea. He makes the bows for famous violinists (Yanni and Yo Yo Ma among them) who will pay thousands of dollars for them. At the grand old age of 93 he is slowed down by rheumatic arthritis, but still turns out a bow every few months. But he now has a friend who brings him out to his cabin by helicopter instead of hiking out himself.

The weather was perfect, the company was excellent... and it was sad to see all of Jack's old photos of hundreds of deer in the meadows, where there are but a few now. He used to hunt, here and in Alaska - nowadays he expresses regrets that he ever did.

I am guessing you are the one running around with arms flailed out. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
