Section hiking the AT and trying to find a good summer bag for this year. Starting out in Damascus for two weeks in June. I like to sleep cold so I'm trying to find the best quilt or lightweight summer bag option. I've narrowed it to 3...anyone have opinions on these 3:

WM MityLite

Jacks Shenandoa

Nunatak Arc Edge

I'm a tent sleeper and use a Big Agnes pad.

Any advice is appreciated.

I have no personal experience with any of these bags, but I just googled them and here are my thoughts:

The WM is rated for 30 degrees. Might get quite hot in there during the summer!

The other two look great.

I personally have my eye on that Shenandoah. Seems like a great summer bag. (I have trouble with mummy bags due to a past arm injury - it needs to stretch every once in a while and If ind the mummy bags are quite indicative)

Depending on your size, you might consider a Megalite. I love mine. When it gets hot, I just unzip it and use it as a blanket.

My brother uses the Nunatak and likes it. I use the Kelty Lightyear 45 and love it.

I second the second for the Mitylite - I also use mine as a quilt; there's no hood to get in the way. Love it.

(Just as a side note: I once took it down to 18 degrees, just for fun, in the backyard. Of course, I wore expedition weight long john top and bottom over midweight longjohns, and a hooded down jacket, stocking cap, balaclava, liner gloves, mittens, and two pairs of socks; I slept on a full-length Prolite Plus pad, inside a tent. And I went inside around 2am when it hit 18 - it eventually hit 8 degrees by morning, according to the thermometer.)

“Jacks Shenandoa”

I have the Stealth which is the same but has a head hole. This is my number one go to bag/quilt for 2 seasons. It’s built well and keeps me warm to 40F w/ my silk pajamas on.

This Coleman Fleece Sleeping Bag is pretty nice. It packs small, it's light and durable, and it's very inexpensive.

I've used mine as both a liner for my 32º bag in cold weather and by itself in warm weather.

The biggest downside to this bag is that debris sticks to it, you can't just lay it on the ground and sleep in it, or even just lay it on the ground. It's not hard to shake it out and brush it off though and it's machine washable.
