Just noticed over on BackpackingLight.com that Sarbar is a new mom again - a non-ultralight (her words) 9 pound baby boy, named Walker. She posted a picture there, too.
Congratulations, Sarbar; he's beautiful. Give your whole family a hug from all of us here.

I saw the notice on NWhikers.net, but because of being away from home didn't have a chance to post. Here's the picture!
If you go through the NWHikers thread, you'll notice that little Walker went on his first walk today, which was a beautiful day out here. (Rain forecast starting tomorrow and for all next week, so everyone got out today!)

The kid is never going to be able to have sippy cups, little plates with teddy bears etc. like other kids. He will have to eat all of his meals from a plastic bag.

Considering the 9 lbs I think you've met your baseweight!
Congratulations - maybe they'll become hiking partners someday?
Ah, yes, I remember those days of interrupted sleep and middle of the night bottles; don't miss them at all. Of course, I do miss that special middle-of-the-night, quiet-house, wonderful feeling of holding that little baby in a rocking chair while he/she slept.
They say you spend the first two years of your kids' lives teaching them to walk and talk, and the next 18 telling them to sit down and shut up. That seems about right.
But one thing's for sure: grandkids are worth raising kids to get.
He is a big baby at 9 lbs with lots of energy. Synchro gets up as often as me which is pretty awesome He even let me sleep in today since I was up till 1 am
Once the weather clears up we will be getting out more - I love hiking with babies. Ford is loving being a big brother and knows he willbe carrying more family gear this year!
