My wife and I have been looking very hard for a down quilt that we can pair up to both use, and the Jacks R Better line seems to the solution we are looking for.

A fellow backpacker from work showed me his single quilt and I was impressed with the workmanship and quality.

My question is about how well the velcro closure works with them. I know it's not velcro but something similar. Can anyone that can give me any pros or cons? Will we have problems with it coming undone when when one of us rolls over?

Thanks in advance.

I tend to be a pretty mobile sleeper - woke up the other night with my foot sticking out of the covers and a really mad cat! - but haven't yet managed to kick the footbox open on my JRB. There's a couple of ties at the top of the velcro - a little butterfly knot (like tying your shoes) holds it there, keeps the top end from ripping open.

But then, I'm not two people. smile They use Omni Tape - both sides of it have both hook and loop. It's less scratchy and I haven't had trouble with it holding. Had the quilt(s) for two years now and use one or both every month, sometimes 2 times a month. Real nice workmanship.

One family of bags that I would add to Charles' list would be the Montbell ... A number of the JacksRBetter quilts have features which let you wear then ..... to so that it is only as large as their torso or purchase torso size pads
