They are trying to save money. But I believe this is the exact wrong time to close them. The amount of people camping was up last year and this year because of the economy, camping will be even more popular. State parks because of their affordability could be on the receiving end of this boon but our short-sighted and yes I'll say it STUPID politicians we will be missing out on this. Of course this will help me since I own a campground in Northern AZ.

I'm VERY tempted! It's been raining so much here that ground has been saturated for weeks. You walk on it and it squishes.
We had sunshine from Friday 5pm through Sunday around 4pm. First time in weeks. Fortunately, we were camping!
Now back to miserable yuk weather.
I don't know how folks around Seattle take it. It would drive me nuts. I have to have sunshine or get REALLY grumpy (at least that's what my wife says).
Take a nice (short) hike for me Pika and soak up the sunshine!
