I'm a Victorinox guy, so I EDC a Classic, and it is my most used knife in the back country as well. It now comes in various permutations, including either a pen, or small light, among other things - either of them can be very useful. Just keep it sharp.
I am not familiar with the Esquire, but I will bet it is equally useful. Both outfits make good stuff.
Personally, IMHO, Wenger knives are much lower in quality than Victorinox. I will never buy a Wenger knife. I am sure others have different opinions, but that is mine.

I guess I need to check out the new ones. The main difference I didn't like was the blade quality. Hopefully, they have changed to the victorinox blade material.

Jim, I just like the durability k-bar offers and dont mind the extra weight,I guess it is all in personal prefrence im not saying there are not better knives out there because that would be a lie But for the money I think it is a good knife. Korea
