Hi all!

Just wanted to introduce myself. First time poster longtime lurker. I have been enjoying the outdoors my whole life. Did a lot of backpacking in the 90's and during the early turn of the century. Grad school and my dissertation put a stop to a lot of overnights and hiking became the main outdoor experience after that. After I moved from Philly to Buffalo three years ago, I got back into fishing hunting and trapping as my connection with nature. Lately I have been bit by the backpacking bug again and I have my eye on the finger lakes trail. Dealing with a bit of Plantar fasciitis right now, but that should be good to go with a few months of rehabing (had to deal with it many times in the past- night splints, stretching and good nutrition is the key folks). Anyhow, that is it for my extremely unorganized introduction. Hope to learn a lot from you folks.
