Welcome to the forum! IMHO, the Wind Rivers are among the most beautiful places on this earth!

You got to admit that there is a
similarity .
Welcome to the forum, SWT. That's a great Mt. Helen shot.
I had invited my best friend back in Dallas to do a hike around Mt. Robson a few years ago and he told me not to worry cause he had a backpack. I saw him in Dallas B4 the hike and he went up in his attic and brought out what looked like an identical Jansport external frame pack in your first photo. He had used it in CO in '74.

I am always impressed by the sweet photos of the external packs whenever you post them over on BP
(And sadly I am old enough to remember wearing one!)
Welcome!

Talk about flashback time! Notice the pre-Nalgene water bottles. I think I still have one of those floating around somewhere. Who says cotton kills? In keeping with the tone of the OP, Far Out, Man!
