I just want to take a moment and wish each and everyone of you the best in 2011. May we all get in some really great hiking.

Happy New Year, everyone. I haven't decided what my major hike for 2011 will be, yet, but I look forward to figuring that out in the next couple of months. Last night my wife and I started sketching out our camping plans for the summer.

I'm actually planning a long trip for July, and it will be with my wife - not really backpacking tho - since she doesn't like to sleep out. We'll be going B&B to B&B and doing the Kerry Way in Ireland - about 10 or 11 days walking, 200 km or so..

I will assuredly also do my usual assortment of extended weekenders in the Rockies, and may end up doing another Jaunt down West Coast Trail again..

I'll join in... Happy New Year to All!

I'm planning a trip for the end of this month. We'll see how the weather breaks, but I hope to spend at least 3 nights out, and maybe longer.

It will be my first trip in over a year, so I'm pretty excited. Hopefully, I'll get a few more in before the warm season is upon us.

Bset wishes for everyone. In the new year, I hope I can reach to the 72 valleies of Mu.Qinling. Becasue I heard that the sceneries there were very beautiful, and there are many rare and precious animals……
