hi i was just wondering if there was anyone out there that would know if there is a web site out there for people that have done there fair share of backpacking and would like to have th odd holiday(you know the ones where ya bag is carried for you from the moment of getting off plane till the moment you get home)but for people to go with other looking for the same sort of thing.i fancy a safari or other but would be nice to have some company whether my sex male or female.
a forum would be nice to try and find these same sorts of people just looking for a nice 2 week break but fancy a bit of company to go with but with a bit of luxury attached.
cheers simon.

Meetup.com - tons of hiking and backpacking groups that do all levels of trips all over the world.

Sierra Club - they're pretty organized and expect you to stick with outings at your skill level.

Any other local hiking group listed in your newspaper or other local publication

Lots of backpacking forums have Find a Hiking Partner subforums.

Meetup.com is probably a good suggestion and you should try it.

However, I suspect you didn't look around this forum very much before you posted here. This site is devoted to what you would call trekking - iow, hiking around in wild or primitive areas, carrying your shelter, food, cooking gear, clothes and all else you might need to survive - on your back.

You might have better luck fishing at a place such as Lonely Planet's website. Good luck.
