I'd have to know how much the thing weighs. I've always used Platypus (lighter than others) and am now looking at the 2 liter Evernew bottles (similar weight to Platy except that the cap is connected to the bottle, great for folks like me who keep losing Platy caps) plus 1 quart soda bottles--the latter slide into my pack's mesh side pockets a lot more easily than the Platys.
