I was bored tonight and, as my mind wandered, I got to looking at a book bag that I picked up on clearance from old navy last year.

It weighed in at 23 ounces and was about 1400 cu in.

So ... after an hour with a seam ripper, some spare sil nylon I had laying around, and a pair of shears ....

Voila .... a 1700 cu in panel loader that weighs in at 11.8 ounces.



This weekend I'll add a pocket or two and get it up to 2000 cu in.

Not bad for an hours work.
