Yep, told them i cut a large one into two small ones. Also told them i've got 4 more pads from them and might start canibalizing them as well (ofcourse in the big scheme of things it's not even a drop in the ocean for them).

But they remain persistent, here my last mail from them :

"I 'm very sorry but we don't sell this item that's the only way I can help you. We will do the repair free of charge and pay the return postage."

I think it's rather funny. Protecting they're terf.

Just yesterday i scammed a total-loss pad from an outdoor shop. Cut of the valve, put it in boiling water to get the fabric from the part, fired up the good old clother iron, and presto, 2 small pads at my disposal.

Has anyone around here tried dismembering an insulated air pad. I've got a POE max thermo pad and thinking about shrinking that one too. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
